British star Harry Styles has returned to New York for one of his biggest musical appearances of the year, launching his residency at Madison Square Garden as part of his global “Together, Together” tour. The shows began on August 26 and will continue through October 31, with a total of 30 performances at the iconic venue.
From opening night, fans gathered around the venue, creating an energetic atmosphere that reflected the anticipation surrounding the residency. New York is the only U.S. stop on Styles’ current tour, making the shows a special opportunity for American fans to experience his latest production. The residency also surpasses his previous Madison Square Garden run, when he performed 15 consecutive shows there in 2022 as part of his “Love On Tour” series.
The “Together, Together” residency supports Styles’ fourth studio album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.” The performances combine music, visual elements and the theatrical atmosphere that has become an important part of his live shows. British musician and producer Jamie xx is serving as the opening act for all of the New York performances.
The celebration extends beyond the stage. Madison Square Garden has introduced several fan experiences connected to the residency, including a themed concession stand called Café 30, photo activations and exclusive merchandise created especially for the New York shows.
The opening night also included an emotional tribute to music legend Dolly Parton, who passed away just one day before Styles’ first performance. Styles honored her by performing “I Will Always Love You”, creating a moving moment as fans joined him in the tribute.
During one of his recent performances, Styles also made a playful reference to the fact that Madison Square Garden is not only a concert venue, joking about its role in hosting the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, which took place there in July.
With music, fashion and a strong fan culture surrounding the event, Harry Styles’ New York residency has become more than a series of concerts. It has turned Madison Square Garden into a major entertainment destination for his fans throughout the fall, with performances continuing until the end of October.
