The Pyramids area in Cairo turned into one of the most talked-about locations across social media after the lavish wedding celebration hosted by Syrian businessman Basel Samakia, Chairman of “Cottonil,” for the marriage of his daughter Farah to Mohammad Ammar Al-Sabbagh. The evening combined luxury, elegance, and artistic atmosphere, with the attendance of numerous celebrities, media figures, and prominent businessmen.
Groom Mohammad Ammar Al-Sabbagh comes from a well-known Syrian family in the textile and manufacturing industry. He is the son of businessman Ammar Al-Sabbagh, Chairman of “Cotton & More” and Secretary-General of the Syrian community in Egypt. He is also the grandson of the late Syrian industrialist Omar Al-Sabbagh, one of the leading names in the textile sector. The marriage is seen as a union between two of the most prominent Syrian business families investing in Egypt’s clothing and textile industries: the Samakia and Al-Sabbagh families.
The wedding, held near the Pyramids, captured attention with its luxurious decorations and soft lighting that blended beautifully with the grandeur of the historic site. Fireworks lit up the Giza sky in what guests described as one of the grandest weddings Egypt has witnessed in recent years. The atmosphere felt like an exceptional night where history, music, art, and celebration came together.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of actors, media personalities, and businessmen from Egypt, Syria, and several Arab countries. Among the well-known guests were actresses Nelly Karim, Riham Haggag, Joumana Mourad, and Rania Youssef, along with actors Ahmed Zaher, Maged El Masry, and Hany Ramzy, in addition to several prominent media and artistic figures, making the event a major topic across social platforms.
The entertainment segment of the evening featured live performances that kept the celebration alive until the early hours of the morning. Amr Diab performed some of his most famous songs to great interaction from the guests, while Lebanese singer Ramy Ayach appeared with a large orchestral performance. Ahmed Saad also added energetic vibes that had attendees singing and dancing throughout the night.
One of the most shared moments online was Basel Samakia’s emotional dance with his daughter Farah to the song “Bent Abuya,” where his visible emotion deeply moved the audience, turning the moment into one of the evening’s most memorable highlights.
The wedding once again highlighted the growing popularity of luxury celebrations held in the Pyramids area, which has become a preferred destination for extravagant events thanks to its unique mix of ancient Egyptian history and modern entertainment, presenting a distinctive image of grand Arab celebrations.
